Teens In Charge is a preventative program that enables students to learn and practice healthy decision-making.
TIC small group curriculum is now being piloted in schools. The small group package includes user's curriculum, the audio tool, pre & post testing tool, and all experiential materials need for the sessions. The pilot version includes six sessions for use with groups of 10 youth. Some issues covered include: violence, substance abuse, helping peers, divorce, gangs, self-esteem and anger. TIC provides curriculum for middle and high school students, and training/support materials for teachers, parents and significant adults.
TIC curriculum, centers around a patterned three part, experiential process.
Tune-In: students listen and react to audio story Interact: students share personal stories Connect: students blend session with personal stories
This unique and interactive process utilizes a CD of youth interviews.
utilizing gaming technology and audio youth interviews, allows teens to practice making choices about life issues - violence, substance abuse, family relationships, sexuality and friendships. This school subscription based program allows individual students to access daily updated stories and explore a variety of modes for making decisions.
